
Ingredients
Fish 1/2 kg cleaned and cut , can use any variety, here i have used king fish.
- Coriander seeds 1 tsp
- Red chilly 4 to 5
- Onion 2 small+2 large chopped
- Garlic 2 to 4 cloves
- Jeera 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves handful
- Coconut 1 cup
- Tomato 2 chopped
For marination
- Chilly powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Kachampuli(garcinia extract)
Method
Marinate fish with above said ingredients atleast 30 minutes. In a sauce pan or pot, take little oil and fry coriander and remove. Next fry red chilly, 2 small onion, garlic, jeera one by one. Now take all these roasted ingredients along with coconut and coriander leaves and grind well with enough water.
Heat oil in kadai, sputter mustard, add onion chopped and fry until brown. Add tomatoes and fry well. Add the ground mixture with enough water and boil for 5 minutes. Now add fish and close and cook until done. Adjust taste and thickness as required.
