Subbaiah Cherumandanda is an Entrepreneur, Angel Investor and the Founder/President of Satwic, an IT service company based in Los Angeles with a development center in Bengaluru. His angel investments span across various industries, including medical equipment, blockchain, AR/VR etc.

He grew up in Coorg with first-hand experience of rural Kodava lifestyle. After short stints of living in Bangalore, Mumbai, London and Philly, he settled in Los Angeles with his wife, Sonia (Bolcaranda) and their two sons, Sahith and Sanjith. They also have a furry baby named Churro!

Subbaiah is a budding Golfer. In his free time, he enjoys hiking with family and friends, and listening to Hindustani music. He aspires to be a vegetarian but his frequent craving for Pandi curry thwarts this aspiration! 🙂

Subbaiah is a strong believer of being proud of one’s culture and preserving and passing it on to the next generation. He has always wanted to help fellow Kodavas with entrepreneurship both in the US and Coorg and he is happy to have hired a few Kodava engineers at Satwic.
Subbaiah believes that preserving the culture of a community is closely tied to its economic success. With this in mind, he is dedicated to doing more to preserve Kodava culture by helping Kodavas in Education, Careers and Entrepreneurship.
